As the President of American Commercial Capital LLC (ACC), Roy Brooks oversees all aspects of one of the leading factoring companies in Houston. He is involved in the marketing, credit assessment, as well as, the operational aspects of the company's activities. ACC utilizes a proprietary computerized Accounts Receivable Tracking System developed by Brooks. He has over 15 years of experience in the invoice factoring industry. A native of Houston, Brooks graduated, in 1983, from Texas A&M University with B.B.A. in Business Analysis & Research – Management Information Systems.
Brooks stresses a business philosophy that includes a synergistic relationship between ACC and its clients. He insists that the relationship between ACC and its clients must be one that is centered around client satisfaction and driving higher total profits for small businesses in Houston. Because of his hands on approach, Brooks enjoys a strong working relationship with ACC's clients.
Brooks is a member of the Houston Chapter of The Entrepreneurs Organization. The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is a dynamic, global network of more than 7,000 business owners in 38 countries. EO is a catalyst that enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life. For the past four years, he has served as a board member for the local Houston chapter. During that time, he has served as either the Finance Co-Chairman or Finance Chairman.
In addition to his involvement with Entrepreneurs Organization, Brooks has been actively involved in the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP). Having run illegitimate businesses, many inmates come to prison as seasoned entrepreneurs. PEP pairs business owners with Texas inmates that desire to become legitimate entrepreneurs after they have been released from prison. For the past 4 years, Brooks has acted as a mentor for one of the Prison Entrepreneurship Program’s first participants. Currently, his PEP participant is expected to graduate, with a B.B.A, from The University of Houston in May 2009.
